Have you watched any of the new Netflix series – Santa Clarita Diet? I have, and it’s absolutely brilliant.
It features Drew Barrymore as an average American mother, who suddenly starts craving human flesh. It’s fantastic, and I love it’s light, breezy air, and the way her family deals with her new ‘condition’.
Today I’ve decided to branch out into drinks, something I haven’t written about on my little new blog yet. Since I’m trying to be healthier (she says fully planning to post a milkshake recipe too) I thought Sheila’s morning body parts smoothie in Episode Four would be a great thing to try. Obviously this 100% DOES NOT involve any uncooked meat, or body parts, or…any meat at all for that matter. But it is still delicious, and you can always pretend.

Not My Neighbour Smoothie
- 100g Strawberries
- 100g Raspberries
- 100g Frozen Raspberries
- 75g Banana
- 100ml Ice Cold Water
- 2tsp Caster Sugar
- Put the frozen raspberries and caster sugar in a small pan on the hob over a medium heat, and let them stew down. Once the raspberries have cooked down to a juice, take off of the heat and leave to cool.
- Place all the ingredients, including the cooled raspberry juice in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour into a glass and serve.
I absolutely love how this tastes, it’s really vibrant and we’re coming into the perfect time of year for berries.
So, put down your neighbour’s leg that you’re chewing on, and grab yourself a glass of this smoothie.
